Principal’s Message: (para leer en español)

Hello Falcon Families -

Thank you for meeting with us during conferences!  We enjoyed getting to meet you and having our students share their strengths and needs.  Please continue to reach out and let us know if you would like to meet with any of your student’s teachers.

This month brings us to 2nd Quarter, and gives us some time to honor and celebrate our family and community.  Look for our virtual Veteran’s Day activities in our ASB classroom and on our Facebook page.

We share our primary families’ emotions over the pause on reopening schools for our PK-1 learners.  We applaud the hard work and extreme care that our K-5 colleagues put in to have school ready and welcoming, and we know that keeping our community safe is always our number one priority.

Stay safe and stay connected Falcons -

Adrienne Nestor - Principal

Hello Falcon Families!

8th Grade Families: You are invited to our College Bound Drive-Thru Event. Your 8th grader will get a free goody bag with earbuds, treats, and other free items PLUS be able to sign their College Bound form. This is important because at the end of their 8th grade year, students are no longer eligible to sign-up for this amazing scholarship. This is an income-based scholarship and can help with the expense of college in just a few short years.

  • What you need to do:
    • Come to our drive-thru signing event on November 18th from 4-6pm. We will be stationed at the front of the school.
    • If possible, please bring your 8th grader. We need the parent/guardian signature AND the student signature.
    • This will only take a few minutes plus you get a great goody bag just for signing!
    • If you have questions, please let us know! Our contact info is below.

Student Social Hour: Every Wednesday, Mr. Hatley, Mrs. Payfer, and Mrs. Hall will be hosting a social hour for all grades from 1:15-2pm, immediately following the Advisory Meet. This will be a great time for students to come together to meet new friends, meet-up with old friends, and interact in a non-academic setting. We will be advertising on our Counseling Google Classrooms and morning announcements. Each grade level will have their own Meet. Codes will be posted in the Counseling Google Classrooms at 1pm.

Community Resource: Do you need help with housing? Bremerton Housing, on behalf of Kitsap Housing, is opening the Housing Kitsap’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Visit www.bremertonhousing.org or call 360-616-7100 for more information and to apply.

As always, please let us know how we can help. Have a great week!

Weekly Wellness -

Talking to your family can be hard,  it doesn't matter the topic.  It gets easier when we do it in positive ways and more often.  One way to start your whole family talking is in family meetings.  You can use a form or wing it.  The goal is to try a meeting.  Let each person talk.  Let each person know events for the week.  Enjoy each other.
