Arrival/Departure @ Fairview

Our students can arrive at school in a number of different ways. Our field has entries to 3 neighborhoods, which are all open now. Students also walk down Central Valley to school. Biking and scootering have also become popular. Please remind your children to wear helmets and walk their bike or scooter once they’re on campus. We do have bike racks, and students will need their own locks.

Students also arrive at school via the bus. We have a large bus loop where students are dropped off in the morning and load back onto buses in the afternoon.

Students also arrive and depart via parent drop off and pick up. Parents will enter through our main entrance, near the electronic reader board. They will take an immediate right and wait in line on the perimeter of our parking lot. Once parents have reached our drop off zone, students will open their door and exit the sidewalk to school. At pick up time, students will go to the sidewalk and get in their parent’s waiting car. Please do not drop off/pick up your students in the middle of the parking lot. It is not safe or supervised.

Therapy Dog Program and Opt Out Form

Last year, we had our Therapy Dog, Mira, come visit twice a month. To learn more about our Therapy Dog Program, please click here. If you want to have your child opt out of the program, please complete the form in the link above and return to school. We love our therapy dogs and their positive impact on our school!

A Change to our Technology Policy- “Off and Away, All Day”

We want students to learn how to have a healthy balance with technology (cellphones and Chromebooks) in their lives. Both of these technology devices tend to get in the way of authentic and real life social interactions. To help promote a healthier use of both cellphones and Chromebooks, we are making some changes called “Off and Away All Day”.

To gather more details about the why behind this change and other important information, please read this document

Baby Eyas- Guess the Baby Pics

One thing we’re starting here at FMS is Baby Eyas (Name for baby falcon). Each week, we’ll show baby pictures from a few students and have students guess who they are. If you’d like your child’s baby picture to be included, please send your pictures to Heather Bowser, at heatherb@ckschools.org Please be sure to put your child’s name with the email as well. We’re hoping a few teachers will share their baby pics as well, so we can have fun guessing who is who.
