Falcon Family News: June 26, 2026

Another year is in the books! Thanks for helping make 2025-26 one of the best years I can remember. We always appreciate your support and look forward to serving your students again next year. We wish our 8th Graders the best transition to Olympic High School next year.

I wanted to send a quick message with some reminders below. It always helps to have some communication earlier than later, and the information below will hopefully give you a heads up to our start again next year. 

I want to emphasize to you a few highlights of the information below. The first is that our student supplies list has changed. Next year, Fairview will provide a great deal of the school supplies that your child will need, eliminating the need for you to purchase most of them. Our supply list will be updated in the next week or so on our website, but essentially, you’ll need to provide a backpack, wired earbuds for the Chromebooks, and a water bottle (no squeeze models please). Our aim is to help cut down on the costs for our families. 

Also, I want to emphasize our Off and Away All Day Policy going into effect next year. Students must have their cellphones off and away in their backpack all day. They can’t get them out for passing, before school, or during lunches. We are encouraging students to socialize and live a healthy lifestyle. Also, we want to minimize distractions to learning. 

Have a great summer everyone! The office will close from July 1st- Aug 14th and will reopen on Aug 17th.

Aug 28: Web Day for All Incoming 6th Graders, 8-11:30am, Gym

Aug 31: First Day of School, Dismiss 10:30am

Sept 1-2: Half Days, Dismiss 10:30am

Sept 3: Early Release Thursday and School Pictures, Dismiss at 12:35pm

Sept 4: Full Day, Dismiss at 2:05pm

To help minimize distractions and encourage a healthy lifestyle, Fairview students will need their phones/earbuds off and away all day. This was started at Ridgetop and CK Middle School last year with great success. This will be our policy from day one next year with phones off and unavailable throughout the day. All day means all the time. Phones will no longer be permitted before school, after school, during passing, or during lunch/recess periods. We will be purchasing board games and other fun items for students to use during lunch/recess and other down times.

On August 28, 2026, all of our new 6th graders are invited to Fairview for a morning of fun. The event will last from 8-11:30am, and will give our incoming 6th graders a chance to get to know the school, each other, and have a positive first experience. Our older students will serve as Web Leaders and are trained to provide this amazing experience for our Newest Falcons. This is a student only event. 

Falcon Fever is a blast! On August 27, 2026, we will be inviting all students to Fairview from 4-6:30pm. At this time, families can get schedules, meet their teachers, get a bite to eat, explore the campus, and have a fun visit before the school year starts. We hope to see you all there on the 27th!

This year, we are attempting to help families with school supplies by providing the bulk of a student’s needed supplies. The updated supply list will be online shortly, but essentially, parents will need to purchase backpacks, wired earbuds for Chromebooks, and water bottles (non-squeeze please). Our Fall Sports Season begins on Thurs, Sept 3rd. Please visit our Athletics Website for details on how you can get your mandatory Final Forms registration and sports physicals completed, so your child can participate. Check out this flyer with more information.
