Falcon Family News: June 12, 2026

Hello Falcon Families! We are almost to the end of the year. I’ve had such a great time my first year and am excited looking towards next year.

As we approach the last week, there are a few things on the horizon. We have a field trip on Monday to the Point Defiance Zoo along with 8th Grade Breakfast and Awards. Families are invited to the breakfast, and food is provided. If you are an 8th Grade Family, you can RSVP here, so we know how much food to plan for. On Tuesday, we have 8th Grade Promotion from 6-7pm here at school. Students will arrive at 5:15 that night, and our ceremony will begin at 6 in the gym. On Wednesday, we have our Talent Show in the morning, from 7:40-9:40. Parents are welcome to be in the audience and witness our talented Falcons perform. Wednesday, we also have our Field Day and our Staff vs. Student Volleyball game. The field day and sports event will be for students only. 

Thursday is our last day…we’ll have a dismissal at 10:30, and students will be able to fill up their yearbooks with signatures.

Next year, students will have their cellphones off and away all day. This means that students will no longer be able to have their cell phones out before school or during lunch. We care about the emotional wellbeing of students, and we want to help them build their social skills.

We are purchasing cards, games, and other items for students to do during lunch. Thanks for your support, as we help students build a healthy technology/life balance.

We are excited to welcome our students back for another amazing school year at Fairview Middle School! To help make our school feel even more fun, connected, and welcoming, we would love to feature photos of our students with their beloved pets from home.

Whether it’s a dog, cat, hamster, chicken, lizard, or any special furry (or scaly!) friend, we can’t wait to celebrate the pets that make your family unique.
