Topics: Planners Launch, Study Hall Started, KRL Field Trip 6th Graders
This week was another busy one at Fairview. The week ended with the Pink/Red Spirit Day. I feel like I may have had too many heart-shaped candies. It was a fun end to the week.
This week, we also started using our planners building-wide. Students take time during each class to write down assignments and track their progress. Each day of the Advisory Period is dedicated to a theme around keeping track of assignments and learning how to be a quality student.
Tuesday and Wednesday of this past week, we had our first After School Study Hall. Students got amazing amounts of help completing assignments and learning how to tackle projects, tasks, and how to be a better student. If this is something you are interested in having your child attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Next week, it is the beginning of our partnership with the Kitsap Regional Library (KRL). On Feb 19, 20, 26, and 27, each of our 6th Graders will be going to the main branch of the KRL. Two classes a day will be visiting the library, receiving a free book, and discovering how the library can be used for fun and learning. Please check with your 6th grader to ensure they have turned in their permission slip to join in on their trip to KRL.
Just a reminder that we have no school tomorrow, Feb 13th, and also no school on Monday, Feb 16th. Enjoy the four day weekend!
