What a fantastic week we just had. We had a music concert on Tuesday with a capacity crowd. For 2 hours, we were entertained by the 2 orchestras, 2 jazz bands, and 2 concert bands. A big thanks to Mr. Faxon for promoting a love of music in our students. It was a proud night for me seeing so many talented musicians.
This week, we also started our seasons for sports with jamborees for basketball and girls’ wrestling. Our regular season contests start next week with both teams getting their first competition.
The new semester is fast approaching. To start February, we’re going to be focusing on student organization and use of their planners. Even though students are tech-natives, they need assistance on monitoring, organizing, and completing/turning in their assignments. Our staff is eager to help our students become better managers of their time and efforts.
Have a great long weekend. Today, our students were stellar as we all learned more about MLK and his legacy. I hope this weekend, you get some time to reflect on his powerful message of love and respect for all. Thanks for being a strong partner with Fairview and supporting our Falcons.
Go Falcon,
Mr. Tebo
