School of Distinction Awards for Woodlands, Silver Ridge, and Fairview.

We recently got statewide recognition for our reading and math achievements!

“It is with great pleasure, but little surprise that I learned of Fairview Middle School’s status as recipient of the Center for Educational Effectiveness School of Distinction award,” said Principal Adrienne Nestor.

The Center for Educational Effectiveness, in partnership with state school directors, principals and superintendent organizations, presents the award annually to Washington schools that show the most improvement.

“Fairview is a place where above and beyond is a norm of practice, and the staff consistently works with a ‘kids first’ attitude – this award recognizes that daily focus on student learning,” said Nestor. “I couldn’t be more proud of the great work done every day.”

Superintendent David McVicker announced the award and congratulated school staff on Monday. “We’re just thrilled with our schools’ progress and what they’ve accomplished.”
